Weaning from breastfeeding or bottle feeding

Weaning refers to the process of transitioning the toddler from breast or bottle-feeding to drinkinig from a cup.
There is no prescribed right time for weaning – the process can be started when both mother and toddler are ready. Many toddlers are ready to make this transition once their pincer grasp has fully developed and they are self – feeding with finger foods.

Self-weaning: You can stop offering bottle or breast to toddler but do not refuse it if they ask for it. Your toddler will stop asking although the total amount of time varies from model to model.
